Xiaomi is preparing several new Redmi
models for launch - the latest to make the mandatory trip through the 3C is the
M2003J15SC, likely to be the Redmi Note 9 or even the Redmi 9.
It will have 4G connectivity, unlike the
M2002J9E we saw a few days ago, which packs a 5G modem. Both phones have
something in common - the 22.5W fast charging support. However, this one is
manufactured by Xi'an BYD Electronics, the 5G phone is made by FIH.
The 5G phone may be a branded as a K30
device while this 4G handset will likely fill a gap in the Redmi Note 9 series
(namely, the non-Pro model). The M2003J15SC went through MIIT certification in
early January, but there are still very few details about the phone.
