vivo introduced the Indian V17 as V19 in
Indonesia last week, and now the company has announced that it will bring the
V19 to India on March 26. However the V19 coming to India is different from the
one announced last week. The Indian V19 will feature a total of six cameras
instead of five - two on the front and four at the back.
The image shared by vivo India's Twitter
account reveals two other more bits - an in-display fingerprint scanner and
black and blue color options. vivo hasn't divulged any other specifications of
the Indian V19, but if a recent leak is to be believed, we'll see the
smartphone sport a 6.44" Dual iView E3 Super AMOLED display of FullHD+
resolution.
The Indian V19 will have a Snapdragon 712
SoC at the helm with 8GB RAM and Android 10-based Funtouch OS 10. It will have
128GB and 256GB storage options and come with a dedicated microSD card slot for
storage expansion. The quad camera setup on the back and the 32MP snapper on
the front remain the same as the Indonesian V19, but it's now joined by an 8MP
Super Wide Angle unit for group selfies.
The Indian V19 will pack a 4,500 mAh
battery that will draw power through a USB-C port at up to 33W. The V19 is
rumored to cost INR 24,990 (US$ 340/€ 305) in India but we'll have to wait until
March 26 to know if the report turns out to be correct.
