Xiaomi introduced the Redmi K30 Pro,
alongside the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom with a telephoto camera. Initially, both
devices were announced with 8/256 GB memory at most, but it appears the Zoom
variant will be able to go a bit higher as evidenced by a retailer listing.
Officially, the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom comes
with a 64 MP + 8 MP telephoto + 13 MP ultrawide + 2 MP depth cameras. The zoom
from the second one is 3x optical and can get up to 30x hybrid, and it has OIS
for good measure.
During the announcement, the Snapdragon
865-powered flagship was announced in two versions - 8/128 GB, priced CNY 3,799
(US$ 535) and 8/256 GB for CNY 3,999 (US$ 565). The upcoming 12/512 GB monster version
costs CNY 4,499 (US$ 635) as per JD.com. The launch date for the first flash
sale remains April 4.
