Xiaomi launched the Mi Router
3C back in 2017 and it was due for a refresh for quite some time now. While the
company launched Dual Band routers in China, the 3C that was launched here did
not support dual-band WiFi. On similar lines now, Xiaomi has launched the
single band Mi Router 4C in India and replaces the Mi Router 3C here.
Xiaomi Mi Router 4C is an
802.11 b/g/n single-band router with 4 “high-performance” omnidirectional
antennas and supports up to 300Mbps transmission speed. It promises an
increased operating range and stronger signal.
It is powered by the MediaTek
MT7628N processor paired with 64MB RAM and 16MB storage. This router can
connect up to 64 devices, can be controlled through the Mi Wi-Fi app, supports
one-tap Wi-Fi speed boost, and parental controls. The Mi Router 4C can also be
used as a repeater with the in-built repeater mode. Furthermore, it has guest
sharing so that you don’t have to share your password with other and Wi-Fi
Boost that intelligently sets the Wi-Fi channel to optimize connections.
