Sony announced the Xperia 5
smartphone with 21:9 OLED display, triple rear cameras and the company recently
rolled out Android 10 for the same. Following that launch, now, the renders
successor to the Xperia 5 has surfaced – Sony Xperia 5 Plus along with key
specifications.
According to the renders, Sony
Xperia 5 Plus is said to sport a boxy design with metal to the sides and is
said to flaunt a flat 6.6-inch OLED display. The display resolution and aspect
ratio is known yet but considering the Xperia 5 sports an FHD+ 21:9 display, we
can expect the Xperia 5 Plus to sport a 21:9 display as well.
Furthermore, it is said to
sport quad rear cameras and it is said to be a combination of triple rear
cameras along with a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor. The front camera is said to
be an 8MP shooter, but there is no information on the resolution of the rear
cameras yet. Furthermore, it is said to come with a side-mounted fingerprint
scanner, 3.5mm jack to the top, and feature dual front-firing speakers. Lastly,
it is said to measure 168.2 x 71.6 x 8.1 mm in size and 9.3mm including the
rear camera bump. However, there is no information on battery capacity yet.
There is no timeline on when
the Xperia 5 Plus will be launched, but we should know more information in the
coming months.
