Bang&Olufsen updated its
Beoplay E8 truly wireless (TWS) earbuds which now come with improved battery
life, Bluetooth 5.1 and a USB-C charging case. The earbuds have also been
slimmed down in size compared to their predecessors and now weigh in at 5.8
grams each. Another improvement comes in the microphone department where each
earbud now houses two mics for improved voice pickup and better in-call noise
cancellation.
The actual drivers inside the
buds are 5. mm and you can customize your listening profiles through the
B&O app. There’s also support for SBC, AAC and Aptx codecs for optimal
sound clarity and an IP54 rating for dust and splash/sweat resistance.
In terms of design, the new
Beoplay E8 offer a more rounded shape while the charging case retains the
premium leather build just like its predecessors. Battery life is rated at 7
hours of continuous playback at moderate volume levels while the case can
extend that to 35 hours.
The new B&O Beoplay E8 go
for US$ 350/€ 350 and are already available in China while international sales are
expected to start on February 14. In addition, B&O is also offering a
separate Qi-certified wireless charging pad for US$ 125/€ 125.
