Though the Huawei Nova 6 has been on
everyone’s lips today, apart from this handset, there were other announcements
as well. Say, the company also uncovered the special red color version of the
Huawei FreeBuds 3. These wireless headphones were launched back in September.
However, they went on pre-order only recently. But the red version looks more
attractive. It is priced at 1199 yuan (US$ 170). And it will go on sale on
December 12 at 00:00.
The Huawei FreeBuds 3 wireless headset
is equipped with the Kirin A1 chip. The performance is 30% higher than Apple’s
AirPods. Furthermore, it has 50% lower power consumption, and its package size
is 95% of AirPods. It supports bone voiceprint call noise reduction and
Bluetooth 5.1. At the same time, these headphones adopt a semi-open dolphin
bionic design. It is the world’s first true wireless headset with open design
and active noise reduction. Due to these, Huawei’s headphones can effectively
eliminate environmental noise.
One of the selling points of this
product is the Kirin A1 chip. It comes with a new Bluetooth protocol, BT-UHD.
If FreeBuds 3 is used with new Huawei phones running EMUI 10.0 or higher, both
devices will use this new standard for connection. This standard has a data transfer
rate of up to 2.3Mbps. Just imagine the performance improvements.
Other Freebuds 3 features include
improved 190ms latency and Qi wireless charging. Each headset has a 30mAh
battery, which can provide 4 hours of playback on a single charge. At the same
time, the charging case can provide about 20 hours of total playback time.
