If you’re in the market for an
ultrawide curved monitor you may be interested to know that AOC has unveiled
their latest creation in the form of the Agon AG493UCX offering a VA panel with
a 1800R curvature and providing users with a resolution of 5120×1440 equivalent
to 2 x 27 inch QHD LCD monitors.
The AOC Agon AG493UCX 49-Inch
Ultrawide curved monitor has a120 Hz refresh rate and VRR, max luminance is 550
nits, with a 3000:1 contrast ratio, 178º/178º vertical/horizontal viewing angles,
a 1 ms MPRT response time. The Agon AG493UCX curved monitor can display 121% of
the sRGB or 93% of the DCI-P3 colour gamuts. Additionally, it comes factory
calibrated to a Delta<2 accuracy (presumably for the sRGB colour space).
The AOC Agon AG493UCX will be making
its way to stores from January 7th, 2020 onwards and will be priced at US$ 1000
throughout the United States. Although you can expect the monitor to be
available in China a little earlier due to the locality of AOC.
