Xiaomi started
unveiling new paintjobs for its Note 8 series earlier this month. First, the
Taiwanese market got a Deep Sea Blue variant of the Redmi Note 8 Pro, and now
the vanilla Redmi Note 8 is also getting a new version, this time in the
company's home market - Nebula Purple.
While the phone has
new looks on the outisde, on the inside it remains unchanged - Snapdragon 665,
4GB or 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. There
are four cameras on the back, lined up vertically - 48 MP main shooter, 8 MP
ultra-wide lens, 2 MP dedicated macro camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor for bokeh
photos.
The color is expected
to be launched for a flash sale on November 18 at exactly 10 AM. Since it has
two RAM options, there are two price tags - CNY 999 (US$ 142/€ 130) for the 4/64 GB
variant, while the one with 6 GB RAM is discounted to CNY 1,099 (US$ 155/€ 142).
