Xiaomi has a new product that pulls triple duty. It
is a power bank, charger, and power outlet bundled into one product. While we have seen power banks
that double as chargers, one with a power outlet for electrical appliances is a
new one. With this, you can make do with one wall outlet for all your devices –
the charger itself is plugged into the wall and the USB ports charge your
gadgets while your computer’s power adapter can go into the socket built into
the charger.
The charger has three ports – a USB Type-C port with
support for 18W fast charging and two USB-A ports. There is a built-in 5000mAh
battery to charge your phone if you are on the go. The charger has a brush metal
finish with LEDs at the top to indicate the battery level. The power outlet is
a 2-pin universal type and there is built-in protection against electric
shocks.
The charger is priced at ¥ 159 (US$ 22). At the moment,
there is no info on availability.
