Recently, a new smartphone from Vivo got the Chinese
3C certification. This device comes with model number V1936A. The Vivo V1936A
supports up to 33W fast charge, and the issue date is September 29th. The
manufacturer and applicant are all Vivo Mobile Communications Co., Ltd. As of
now, this is all we know about the Vivo V1936A.
Vivo seems to be working on a number of smartphones
simultaneously. In September alone, six Vivo devices got 3C certification
including the vivo NEX 3 5G. This 5G smartphone uses a 6.89-inch waterfall
display with a resolution of 2256 x
1080. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor and it
supports 44W fast charge. As of September, Vivo has three 5G mobile phones that
have obtained network access licenses.
There are also reports that the company will release
a 5G smartphone with Samsung’s Exynos 980 5G SoC. Vivo may be the first company
to bet on this new chipset. The Exynos 980 is the first mid-range chipset that
integrates a 5G modem. It’s an 8nm chip featuring 2x Cortex-A77 cores plus 6 x
A55 cores. Furthermore, it comes with the Mali-G76 MP5 GPU and features an NPU.
Next year should be a lot more promising for 5G since we expect cheaper 5G
chips and devices. Qualcomm already promised to bring 5G connectivity to the
mid-range sector.
