Xiaomi, has a couple of
projectors on its shelf. In recent times, it has been part of a third-party
brand, Fengmi, which seem to focus on projectors. Xiaomi’s first product with Fengmi
is the 4K 9000 lumens laser projector with a 3840 x 2160 resolution and can up
to 150 inches. Now, it has a smaller and more affordable projector in Xiaomi
crowdfunding. The Fengmi 1500 ANSI lumens projector has a small size with a
1080P resolution. It is available for 3699 yuan (US$ 522).
The Fengmi 1500 ANSI lumens projector comes with FAV
(Feng AdvancedVideo) image quality optimization technology developed by Fengmi
Technology. It is optimized for brightness, color gamut, sharpness, skin color
reproduction, HDR display, HDMI delay, etc. Its brightness is up to 1500 ANSI
lumens (highlight mode). This is more than 150% brighter than conventional
projectors. It comes with over 85% NTSC’s wide color gamut and the colour
performance is rich and vivid.
It uses an upgraded graphics edge processing
algorithm which can effectively distinguish the edge and details of the image
object for processing. This also enhances the image clarity. The projector is
also optimized for HDMI low latency. The game modes is as low as 40
milliseconds. This represents a 50% improvement over previous products to meet
the needs of gamers.
The projection ratio of 1.1:1 is almost the same as
the width of the projected image. Thus it is no longer necessary to calculate
the placement distance and save space. With a projection surface of 2.5m, you
can have a 100-inch 1080P full HD screen.
In terms of design, the Fengmi 1500 ANSI lumens
projector has a square appearance. The lens is on the front of the fuselage.
The light-emitting panel comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection as well as
a high anti-reflection film. This projector uses a high-performance T972 chip
with a maximum frequency of 1.9GHz. This reduces power consumption by 55%. It
also supports 8K video decoding. It uses the same MIUI TV system as Xiaomi TV,
which includes a large number of video resources. Users can also customize
Smart Patchwall depending on their viewing habits.
