Hotly anticipated Sony RX100 Mark VII and a7RIV have
finally arrived in the Philippines! First up is the premium compact
point and shoot from the Japanese electronics company. It features a new 20.1MP
1-inch stacked CMOS image sensor with the BIONZ X image processor that Sony
says delivers A9 level of speed with up to 20fps with AF and AE tracking. This
is done because of the world-leading 357-point focal-plane phase-detection
points that also allows for real-time eye autofocus for humans and animals.
In front of the body is a ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T*
24-200mm F/2.8-4.5 zoom lens. For video, the Mk. VII can record
footage up to 4K HDR with real-time eye autofocus.
Next up is the A7RIV with a 61MP CMOS sensor
full-frame camera with the BIONZ X image processor that promises up to 15-stops
of dynamic range, up to 10fps continuous shooting with full AF and AE tracking.
It features a whopping 567 focal-plane phase-detection AF points that cover 74
percent of the image area that is supplemented by 425 contrast-detect AF
points. The EVF has been upgraded with a new 5.76 million dot OLED display.
