Although everyone knew the Google is holding an
important event today, Apple has decided to introduce a new product on the same
day. It's true that the new Beats Solo Pro headphones won't compete with any of
the Google's devices announced today, they will certainly get less exposure.
The Solo Pro are Beats' first headphones to feature
active noise-canceling and charging via Lightning. Also, they use Beats' Pure
Adaptive Noise Canceling (Pure ANC) technology with updated tuning to accommodate
the on-ear form factor.
Just like the Solo3 Wireless and Studio3 Wireless
headphones, these can be folded up, but they don't fold flat. They embed
Apple's H1 chip, which delivers faster, more stable wireless and is compatible
with iOS and Android devices.
As far as battery life goes, Beats claims the Solo
Pro should offer up to 40 hours without Pure ANC or Transparency turned off.
Users can also get up to 22 hours with Pure ANC or Transparency turner on.
Also, the headphones offer up to 3 hours of full-featured playback with just a
10-minute charge using the included Lightning cable.
The Beats Solo Pro wireless headphones are now
available for pre-order in various colors, including Black, Ivory, Gray, Dark
Blue, Light Blue, and Red. They cost no less than US$ 300 and will ship on October
30.
