We are eagerly awaiting vivo and the NEX 3 to arrive
this month with 5G capabilities and a waterfall screen with extremely curved
edges. However, specs were scarce, until now - a resourceful leakster on Weibo
revealed the full specs sheet of the upcoming device. The phone will have a 64
MP triple camera setup, huge screen, and Snapdragon 855 Plus.
Interestingly enough, the 5G variant has the same
specs (aside from the 5G modem) down to the size and weight, with only a minor
difference of 1 gram, which will be practically unnoticeable due to its 218 g
total weight.
The 64 MP camera setup will also have two 13 MP
shooters alongside, meaning they’ll be telephoto and ultra-wide-angle. Another
interesting feature is the massive amount of RAM and storage, although the
actual combinations are not revealed yet. Even the regular vivo NEX 3 will have
up to 12 GB RAM and 512 gigs of storage, just like the 5G variant.
The battery is 4,500 mAh and will support 44W
fast-charging, meaning the mindblowing 100W rates that we reported earlier are
still in the R&D phase and not ready for consumer devices. If we try to play the guessing
game, based on our knowledge of how vivo prices its phones, probably the most
expensive vivo NEX 3 will cost CNY 4,998 (US$ 700/€ 635), with CNY 500 (US$ 70/€ 63)
extra if you really need the 5G option.
