We’ve been hearing about the vivo NEX 3 5G for quite
some time, and now we know when the rumors will end and the official unveiling
will take place. It is scheduled for September 16 in Shanghai, China and that’s when we’ll
see how much the new flagship will cost and how much more expensive will be its
5G variant.
While we don’t know where the NEX 3 will position on
the market, we know pretty much everything else. The phone appeared earlier
today on TENAA with Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, 8 or 12 GB RAM, up to 512 GB
storage (though the microSD slot is missing) and three cameras.
The triple setup on the back will be in a circular
module and will come in a 64 MP + 13 MP + 13 MP combo. The selfie is in an
elevating mechanism and will be 16 MP. The phone is everything you might
want from a flagship, but it will also arrive with extremely curved edges of
the screen, a technology that Oppo calls “Waterfall screen”. Whether or not it
will impede proper usage with its touch capacity we are yet to see when the
phone arrives in two weeks.
