MyPhone has just launched a new smartphone that
should be good enough for those on a very tight budget, the myA17. MyPhone myA17 highlights a glossy
curved finish at the back with the usual Philippine map. In front, there's a
5.2-inch 2.5D curved 16:9 IPS screen with HD 1280 x 720 resolution.
Going to the highlight of this phone, it is one of
the rare budget phones with 1GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage! MyPhone failed to mention its
chip, but we suspect it to be a 32-bit quad-core processor since there's no
mention of 4G LTE connectivity. We also don't know its exact battery capacity
yet.
At the back, there's a "dual-camera"
setup. In front, it uses a 2MP selfie shooter with Face Beauty mode. MyPhone is also generous enough
to make it USB OTG ready if you plan to buy its USB OTG DTV dongle. The phone runs with Android 9.0
Pie (Go edition) OS, the lightweight version of Android Pie.
MyPhone myA17 is priced at PHP 2,199. But on
September 14 and 15, you can get it for just PHP 1,999.
