Misfit announced a
new duo of hybrid smartwatches meant to prove that white color can be worn
year-round. Dubbed Ronin, these are white versions of the last year Command and
Path smartwatches, so they get to keep many, if not all, of their specs.
The Ronin Command
is the larger of the two at 45mm and comes with a subdial that offers users
more information. The smartwatch is compatible with iPhone and Android devices
and should provide up to 1-year battery life.
Just like many
other smartwatches, Command includes auto sleep tracking capabilities and is
water-resistant up to 50 meters. The hybrid smartwatch promises to accurately
track your sleep, steps, calories and distance, the same features that you can
find in many wearable devices these days.
The smaller 36mm
Ronin Path doesn't include the subdial packed inside the Command model and
offers just up to 6 months of battery life. However, the rest of the features
remain the same, including water resistance and auto sleep tracking
capabilities.
The one thing that
these Misfit smartwatches lack is GPS. Neither Ronin hybrid smartwatch comes
with built-in GPS, so you'll have to pair it with your smartphone all the time
to be able to access any GPS-related feature.
As far as price goes,
both Ronin Command and Ronin Path are now available for purchase for US$ 150 via
Misfit's site. It's the same price as all the other color variants.
