The Xiaomi Mi CC9 will be unveiled next Tuesday and
we’ve already had a peek at the design and specs. CEO Lei Jun even confirmed
the existence of a special edition by posting an image of the custom packaging
(noticeably larger than the regular CC9 box).
Now TENAA has posted images of that phone, the
Xiaomi Mi CC9 Meitu Edition. It shows a horizontal gradient from reddish to
blue/green hues. Also notice the Meitu logo in place of the Xiaomi one. Xiaomi Mi CC9 Meitu edition: note

Also, compare it to this model, which might be the
Xiaomi Mi CC9e. Or it could just be another CC9 model. TENAA lists eight colors
option: Black, Red, Blue, Pink, White, Green, Purple and Gray. Anyway, the basic Meitu edition
specs match those of the regular Mi CC9 – 6.39” OLED (1080p), 4/6/8GB of RAM,
64/128/256GB storage and 3,940mAh battery. The phone measures 156.8x74.5x8.67
mm.
The cameras will be quite interesting. The phone
boasts a 48MP main sensor on the rear and 32MP selfie camera. In case you
missed it, Meitu was a separate brand of selfie-focused phones (like this one)
but Xiaomi took over the hardware division late last year. The Meitu team continued to work
on the camera software and judging by the logos, this phone may offer something
extra on top of the base CC9.
