At the MWC 2019 Shanghai World Mobile Conference,
ZTE released the next generation smart set-top box. As part of the 5G + 8K
Extreme Clear video end-to-end solution, this 8K smart set-top box provides
ultra-high definition video experience, smart voice interaction, and a stylish
and novel look.
Inside, ZTE’s 8K smart set-top box uses a 12nm
technology chip. The latter uses a quad-core 64-bit processor, clocked at up to
2.0GHz. Due to this powerful hardware, it supports 8K video decoding. Simply
put, this set box provides performance with a resolution of up to 4 times 4K.
At the same time, the ZTE 8K smart set-top box
supports strong AI computing performance. You can wake up the low-power voice
assistant and remotely control the box. This not only makes it a real smart box
but also provides an easier interaction with the product. It’s worth noting
that this set-top box supports multi-channel video decoding.
Apart from this, at this event, ZTE clearly
emphasized the concept of ‘Creating a 5G network with 4 basic mathematical
operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division’. To
showcase its ambitions, the company presented 5G devices for end-to-end 5G
solutions, 5G & 4G usage covering all situations, commercial 5G deployment,
intelligent systems, AI networks, traditional networks on-demand, an open 5G
ecosystem, and industry-leading applications.
To integrate the network architecture into a single
simple network, ZTE has launched the IT BBU platform that is compatible with
all standards. It also has the extra-large capacity and supports multi-mode
network integration and long-term changes with the simplest baseband.
