Oukitel announced its latest entry-level smartphone
C16 Pro at the beginning of June, claiming it is the most cost-effective 4G
device in its category that features a waterdrop notch. Now it is time for the
device to hit the market and starting today, it will be available until June
24th for a rock-bottom price of US$ 69.99. Currently, most phones at this price category
come with 2GB/16GB memory combination but C16 Pro comes wants to make the
difference with its overall specs.
The C16 Pro is a device you can hold and handle in
one hand but that doesn’t mean it has a tiny display. It features a 5.71″ HD+
waterdrop HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio that makes the phone look quite
slim while the 86% screen/body ratio provides an immersive visual experience.
It comes in 2 colors, Black and Purple, and it is painted with metal texture
which repels fingerprints and is comfortable to hold.
On the performance side, it sports the new
entry-level SoC by MediaTek, the MT6761P that clocks up to 2.0Ghz accompanied
by 3GB of RAM and Android 9 Pie to offer more fluent and smoother performance
in daily tasks. The SoC is 20% faster than MT6739 quad-core smartphones that
are the vast majority in this category. Also, it features 32GB of internal
storage that can be expanded up to 128GB more via microSD.
On the camera department, the C16 Pro comes with a
dual rear setup featuring 8MP/2MP combo as well as a 5MP selfie shooter and it
supports Bokeh effects and Face Beauty mode. The front camera also supports
Face Unlock for even better security, combined with the fingerprint sensor on
the back of course.
