Sony announced two new members of the EXTRA BASS
family: The WH-BX700 headphones and GTK-XB72 speakers. These two new products promise to
deliver the same audio quality and immersive sound that the EXTRA BASS family
of audio devices is known for.
First off, the EXTRA BASS WH-BX700 headphones offers
a balance between deep bass and vocal clarity while on the move. It is a
wireless over-the-ear headphones with a promise of 30-hours of playback. It also
has a quick charge function that can provide 1 and a half hour of playback in
ten minutes of charging.
The sleek and dark design is accompanied with a
swivel function that folds flat to provide more portability when you need to
pack it in a bag. It has built-in
support for both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa for a hands-free experience
through the microphone. A tap of a custom assistant button will activate your
preferred virtual assistant to receive commands.
Connecting it to the Sony Headphones connect app
will enable you to customize CLEAR BASS, Surround VPT, and Sound Position
Control. The EXTRA BASS GTK-XB72 speakers on the other hand, offers deep and
punchy bass. It houses big woofers to create stronger bass and expand the sound
field. It supports LIVE SOUND mode where you can enjoy 3D music experience
simulating a live venue. This mode uses angled speakers and Digital Signal
Processing technology to make it work.
You can use the XB72 with Fiestable app to customize
your party with voice control, a new style motion control feature and an
interactive party light. Both the EXTRA BASS WH-XB700 headphones and GTK-XB72 speakers will be
available in all Sony Centers and select partner dealers in the Philippines
this week. Prices are yet to be announced.
