The new XPS 13 2-in-1 flaunts a 13.4-inch 16:10
‘UltraSharp ‘4K Ultra HD+ InfinityEdge touch display with a resolution of 3840
x 2400. It is powered by up to Intel’s new 10th Gen Ice Lake processor, making
it Dell’s first laptop being powered by this chip. It is more powerful than the
fanless Y-series models found in the older XPS 12 2-in-1. It has up to 32GB
LPDDR4x SDRAM at 3733MHz, up to 1TB PCIe 3 x4 SSD and Intel UHD/Intel Iris Plus
graphics.
Dell has redesigned the keyboard on the new XPS 13
2-in-1 and uses the maglev key technology found on Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 launched
last year. There is a lot of metal used compared to the previous version and
the fingerprint sensor’s position has been moved in line with the keyboard,
opposed to underneath the keyboard that was seen on previous models. The webcam
is now located at the top bezel, based on feedback from users.
The new Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is priced at US$ 999. XPS 13 will be available starting
July 2019 in the US.
