Sony makes some of the best wireless headphones, but
they don't come cheap at all. Luckily, the Japanese company is determined to
rectify that with the new Extra Bass series headphones announced today, the
WH-XB700.
If you favor listening to music with bass, Sony's
new WH-XB700 headphones promise to offer all the features from the previous
Extra Bass headphones, while adding many improvements, such as enhanced vocal clarity.
More importantly, Sony claims its new headphones can
provide up to 30 hours of music with wireless freedom. Also, they feature an
upgraded quick charge function should offer one and a half hours of wireless
playback after just ten minutes of charging.
Furthermore, as the title says, Sony WH-XB700
headphones come with built-in Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, which provides
a hands-free, voice-controlled experience. Simply tap a custom button located
on the left earpad and as your preferred voice assistant to play favorite
tracks and more.
The WH-XB700 should also offer a smart listening
experience with the Sony Headphones Connect app, which enables customization of
Clear Bass, Surround and Sound Position Control. According to Sony, the new Extra
Bass series wireless headphones should be available for purchase in selected
countries in the Asia Pacific from March 2019. The rest of the world will get
them from April for around US$ 175-US$ 200, depending on the region.
