Back in December, Lenovo introduced the Z5 Pro GT as
the first smartphone with Snapdragon 855 in the world, but with the company
only catering to the Chinese market it's not a popular phone globally. Two
months later the company is apparently ready for a new launch, this time of the
Lenovo Z6 Pro. The new handset will arrive at MWC 2019, according to the
company Vice President.
The image does not reveal much, but the circles
suggest a circular coil for wireless charging. There are also the MWC dates
between February 25 and February 28, meaning the phone will be at the booth,
but it's unclear if there will be a launch event for it earlier.
The Lenovo Z5 Pro was introduced with a slider
mechanism back in November and we are curious to see if the Z6 Pro will follow
suit or the Chinese company has something else in mind. It could also be a
global iteration of the Z5 Pro GT with Snapdragon 855 and hopefully the X50
modem by Qualcomm, enabling 5G connectivity.
