Today, a new Xiaomi
device designated M1901F9T was approved by the Ministry of Industry and
Information Technology. According to the TENAA listing, the smartphone is
probably a variant of the Xiaomi Mi Play. It is worth noting that the Xiaomi Mi
Play just entered the market and provides up to 6GB of RAM. At present, Xiaomi
Mi Mall has the 6GB+64GB version selling for 1299 Yuan (US$ 189) but we don’t know
the price or full-specs of this new version.
From the official
introduction, the Xiaomi Mi Play comes with a one year of free Internet access
but this is probably limited to Chinese users. Specifically, this smartphone
offers 10GB of high-speed internet access every month. With this, you no longer
have to worry about traffic problems when playing games, listening to music,
online dramas, and other internet activities.
The Xiaomi Mi Play
comes with a high-value design. It is the first ever Xiaomi phone to use a
water drop screen with a 5.84-inch display size although the body is comparable
to a traditional 5.1-inch phone. With this compatibility, one-handed operation
is completely seamless. Under the hood, we have a MediaTek Helio P35 processor
coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. In the camera department,
we have a front-facing 8MP camera which supports face unlock as well as a
background blur. On the rear, the Xiaomi Mi Play comes with a 12MP+2MP AI
dual-camera, which also supports AI portrait mode, background blur, multi-frame
noise reduction, and automatic HDR function. The lights of this smartphone are
kept on by a built-in 3000 mAh battery.
