Xiaomi's Mi Mix 3 was announced in China back in
October, and it definitely took its sweet time reaching European shores.
Contrary to some speculation, the launch didn't happen last December. But the
wait is now finally over.
The Mi Mix 3 is available to purchase in Spain
today, and will be out in Italy tomorrow in Sapphire Blue and Onyx Black. The
phone is priced at € 549 and you can buy it from the Chinese company's physical
stores and its online store.
What's more, in Italy, if you buy one tomorrow, on
January 9, from the online store, you will pay just € 499. Only the model with
6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage seems to be launching in Europe at this time,
so that's the one you'll get for these prices.
The Mi Mix 3 comes with an almost entirely
bezel-less front that's made possible by the manually sliding construction that
reveals the hidden dual front camera array (with a 24 MP main sensor and a 2 MP
depth sensor). The phone has a 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen, the Snapdragon 845
SoC, Android 9 Pie on board underneath MIUI 10, and a 3,200 mAh battery. The
ceramic back adds some heft (taking the Mix 3's weight to 218g) and
slipperiness, but is practically scratch-resistant.
