Since the launch of UMIDIGI One Pro, the company has
made a name in the mid-range category as the performance/value ratio is pretty
high. This success of the One Series inspired the Chinese manufacturer to
launch another mid-range series with the UMIDIGI F1 being the first of its
kind. The company markets the F1 as an affordable flagship phone that will be
officially announced in mid-December. Today, new renders of the smartphone have
surfaced to showcase its design.
The leaked renders suggest that it will sport a
waterdrop-shaped notch and a small bottom bezel. On the back, the red color
together with the well-rounded sides and corners are impressive, making it
resemble supercar’s style. The vertical dual rear camera is placed in the
middle of the back panel and it’s just above the fingerprint reader. Also,
unlike many recent flagships from big manufacturers, it features a 3.5mm
headphone jack.
The renders also reveal information about the
hardware. So, it is expected to sport a 6.3″ FHD+ in-cell LTPS display that is
protected by 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, UMIDIGI chose to go with the latest
MediaTek Helio P60 SoC with 128GB of internal storage and the LPDDR4X RAM. The
dual rear camera has a 16MP/8MP configuration with the main sensor featuring a
large, f/1.7 aperture that will prove rather useful in low-light situations.
The selfie shooter has a 16MP sensor and the battery stands at 5150mAh. As for
the dimensions, the most impressive is the 8.8mm thin body.
The Helio P60 is about the same level as the
Snapdragon 660 so it can handle pretty much anything without a problem. After
all, it is already found in popular devices like Oppo R15, F9 Pro, Vivo Y97,
and UMIDIGI’s 2018 flagship UMIDIGI Z2 Pro. The F1 will be the first device of
UMIDIGI to feature Android 9.0. More details like the price and release date
should be revealed soon.
