Images and a few specifications have been released
this week for a new mini PC in the form of the Intel Ghost Canyon NUC which
will provide a small actively cooled system. Don’t get too excited though as
the Intel Ghost Canyon X is not expected to be available until early 2020.
Although to what your appetite ahead of its official
launch at the current time reports are indicating the new mini PC will be
powered by a 45W Coffee Lake HR processor offering up to 8-core with
16-threads. Although this is subject to change.
Ports on the Intel’s Ghost Canyon X Are expected to
take the form of 3 x HDMI 2.0 ports, 2 x Thunderbolt 3 ports, M.2 storage, and
a PCIe x16 slot adding the ability to install a discrete graphics card. All
enclosed in a 5 litre chassis. Unfortunately, no information on pricing or
worldwide availability has been released as yet.
