The Huawei Band 3e was announced in China a few
weeks ago but before then it had already launched in other markets including
the US. The fitness tracker is now available for pre-order in China.
The Band 3e can be called Huawei’s version of the
Honor Band 4 Running Edition. This is because, just like Honor’s band, it
focuses on running. While they are different in terms of design, they share
similar features. For example, the Huawei Band 3e can also be worn on the wrist
or attached to your running shoes for more accurate step tracking.
Huawei says the Band 3e has 7-data monitoring and
analysis running form. They are ground-contact time, eversion excursion,
cadence, step length, swing angle, landing impact, and foot strike placement.
All these data are monitored by the fitness tracker and help you to become
better at running.
The Huawei Band 3e also has an intelligent motion
sensor that can read treadmill running data with up to 97% accuracy thanks to a
6-axis gyroscope. The band can also notify you of alerts from your phone, has a
find-my-phone feature, and also monitors your sleep. It is water-resistant up
to 50m.
Huawei has put a price tag of ¥ 99 on the band and
you can pre-order it here before it goes on sale on December 12 for ¥ 109. If
you pre-order, you will be required to pay a deposit and the balance when it
goes on sale.
