BLU has launched its latest smartphone — BLU Vivo Go. The phone, priced at US$ 79.99 in the US, is currently available for purchase at US$ 59.99. The device is
sold unlocked and is compatible with GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile.
The phone is available in only one color — Black and
ships with a free case, screen protector, charger, and earbuds. It is also the
first Go Edition smartphone to run the latest version of the Android mobile
operating system — Android 9 Pie which is built to smoothly run on entry-level
smartphones.
The BLU Vivo Go features a 6-inch HD+ display with
720 x 1440 pixels screen resolution, curved glass screen, and a taller 18:9
aspect ratio. The big screen for such entry-level phone ensures a good media
consumption experience.
Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTek
6739 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It packs 1GB RAM and 16GB internal
storage and comes with a microSD card slot that enables users to further expand
the phone’s storage capacity up to 64GB.
As for the camera, on the rear side, it features an
8-megapixel primary sensor and VGA (0.3-megapixel) secondary sensor. On the
front side, the device comes equipped with a 5-megapixel snapper for taking
selfies and video calling. There’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for
added security.
The dual-SIM smartphone also supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi,
and Bluetooth 4.1. As said, the BLU Vivo Go is running the Go Edition of
Android Pie mobile operating system and comes with Go Edition apps, including
Gmail, Google Assistant, search, Maps, the app store, and more. It also comes
with an app called Files Go, which helps users find and manage files.
The phone is powered by a 2,600mAh battery and also
comes with a dedicated button on the side for enabling the power-saving
feature. With such low pricing, the phone could be worth looking over for those
who are looking for a cheap Android device.
