There are new Moto phones cooking and will be ready
for you to enjoy in 2019. The highlights will be a new flagship, the Moto Z4,
as well as a couple of Moto G7 mid-rangers. That's the story coming out of the
rumor mill, anyway.
The Moto Z4 promises to be a proper high-end phone
with a Snapdragon 8150 chipset. That’s great to hear after the Moto Z3 proved a
tad disappointing. Speaking of, the Z3 will be getting 5G MotoMod and there
will be one for the Z4 too.
On to the next generation G-series phones. The Moto
G7 recently cleared the FCC with a Snapdragon 660 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB
storage. The 2,820mAh battery feels too small (it’s smaller than the G6).
Earlier rumors pointed to a 3,500mAh battery and a
6.4” screen, that could be the Moto G7+. It is expected to feature a more
upscale chipset – Snapdragon 710 or another entry from the 7-series (if
Qualcomm announces one, the Snapdragon 730 never appeared).
Anyway, here are early renders of the G7 featuring a
teardrop notch. In case you were wondering, there won’t be a Moto G7 Play to
join the G7 and G7+.
