Sony's Xperia XZ3 is now finally up for pre-order in
the US. It was announced at IFA in Berlin last month, and it's the Japanese
company's latest high-end device. Pre-orders in Europe opened immediately
afterwards, but in a weird twist it turns out that it will be released in the
US first.
The official launch date in the States is September
24, while across the pond you'll need to wait until October 5 to receive your
XZ3. If you are in the US and want one, you will need to fork out US$ 899.99
for the privilege. You are getting an unlocked model for all that cash, but as
usual with Sony handsets it's only compatible with AT&T, T-Mobile, and
GSM-based MVNOs. No Sprint or Verizon.
To make that high price slightly more palatable,
Sony is throwing in a free Xperia Ear Duo true wireless headset.
