Along with the new Mi Notebook Pro 2, Xiaomi also
announced the newest Mi Gaming Laptop that is dubbed as the E-sports
performance monster. The design remains basically the
same but the internals are the ones that saw the bigger changes. It has a
15.6-inch FHD display with thin bezels.
But, it is now equipped with the 8th Gen Intel Core
i5 or i7. It also has a choice between four GPUs with the Nvidia GTX 1060/1060
Ti and the Nvidia GTX 1050/1050 Ti. It can have up to 16GB of DDR4
RAM and an SSD + HDD configuration. It also has a 55WHr battery. It also has a 1MP webcam on the
top of the display.
The keyboard will feature 4 backlit color zones and
5 programmable keys. It also has a key travel 1.8mm. It has dual 3W Dolby Atmos
capable speakers. Xiaomi also improved the Mi Gaming Laptop's cooling system that now
features three exhaust vents on each side of the laptop and eight exhaust vents
at the back. The heat pipes are also thicker to spread the heat more
efficiently and the fans are also bigger with better motors.
The laptop is 20.9 mm thick and weighs about 2,700
grams. The Mi Gaming Laptop with Intel Core i5-8300H with GTX 1050 Ti is
priced at CNY 6,699 while the Intel Core i5-8300H with GTX 1060 Ti is
priced at CNY 7,999. On the other hand, the Intel Core i7-8750H with GTX 1060 is priced at
CNY 8,999 and Intel Core i7-8750H with GTX 1050 is priced at CNY
7,499.
