Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note9 and it will be in
stores on August 24 (that’s two weeks from now). Pre-orders start today. The Galaxy Note9 with 128GB
storage (and 6GB RAM) will cost US$ 999, the one with 512GB storage (and 8GB RAM)
will be US$ 1,250. The US is getting only the Ocean Blue and Lavender Purple color
options.
US
It will be available on the major carriers: A&T,
Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular and Xfinity. You’d be able to grab one
from Samsung.com and major retailers: Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Walmart,
Target, Sam’s Club and Straight Talk Wireless.
Best Buy is one to look out for, it promises up to US$ 200 in savings with a "qualified activation". Additional deals
include "Buy 1, Get 1 free" with Verizon (plus a US$ 100 discount).
On-contract prices for AT&T start at US$ 31.66/mo
(for 30 months). For Sprint it's US$ 33.33/mo (for 24 months). T-Mobile wants $280
up front and then it's US$ 30 a month for the 128GB model (US$ 530 up front if you
want 512GB). Verizon has two 24 month deals: US$ 42/mo (128GB) and US$ 52/mo (512GB).
If you pre-order (from August 10 to August 23), you
may get a freebie (but there are limited quantities available). You can choose
either a free pair of AKG noise canceling headphones (US$ 300) or 15,000 Fortnite
V-Bucks. You can have both for US$ 99.
