Cherry Mobile silently made the Desire R6 Lite
official. It's an Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphone priced at just PHP
2,499. For starters, the Cherry Mobile Desire R6 Lite features a 4.95-inch
18:9 TrueView screen with FWVGA 960 x 480 resolution at 216 ppi. Inside, it
runs with a 1.3GHz quad core processor. Most likely, it is MediaTek's 32-bit
MT6580M chip.
Cherry Mobile coupled it with 512MB RAM, 8GB
expandable ROM up to 32GB, and 1,600mAh battery. It also has an 8MP primary camera
with AF and LED flash and a 5MP selfie snapper. The device also goes with WiFi
802.11 a/b/g/n, 3G connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2, and dual SIM slots.
Like most Android Oreo (Go edition), it is
lightweight and consumes less data than regular Android phones. It also has the
lightweight Go apps. like the Gmail Go, Maps Go, YouTube Go, and Google Go. This one is basically designed
for those who are looking to get their first budget Android smartphone.
