The BlackBerry Keyone was a massive success and TCL
launched its followup named Key2 in early June. The phone slowly started
arriving to various markets, including the UAE, the UK, and Canada. The next
major country that is set to get the BlackBerry Key2 is India, where the phone
will be available for purchase on July 31.
The BlackBerry Key2 price has been set at INR 42,990
or about US$ 625. Amazon will offer the phone exclusively, and it will be
available with INR 4,450 cashback offer from Reliance Jio and ICICI bank.
BlackBerry India promised more surprises that will be unveiled on the launch
date next Tuesday.
The QWERTY smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon
660 chipset. It has a dual 12 MP + 12 MP camera and a 4.5” screen with unusual
3:2 ratio due to the physical keyboard. It has 3,500 mAh battery and Android
Oreo 8.1, coupled with DTEK security features by BlackBerry.
