After a short period of rumors surrounding the
upcoming Mi Pad 4, Xiaomi has now posted a teaser on its official Weibo account
that confirms its next-generation tablet will be announced in just five days’
time on June 25.
Just like its predecessor, the new Mi Pad 4 is
expected to boast a 7.9-inch, although recent rumors have suggested that the
tablet could potentially adopt a taller 18:9 aspect ratio, matching that of the
company’s recent smartphones. Also, on the internal side of things, the
Snapdragon 660 is expected to be featured on the inside along with 4GB of RAM
and most likely 64GB of internal storage. In terms of the camera department, a
13-megapixel rear camera has recently been claimed along with a 5-megapixel
selfie sensor while, on the software side of things, Android 8.1 Oreo will come
pre-installed along with the MIUI 10 overlay on top. Furthermore, all of this
will be backed by a relatively large 6,000mAh battery.
Aside from the Mi Pad 4, which is expected to be
available in various international markets, the company's upcoming Redmi 6 Pro
is also set to make its first official appearance at the event next week,
although this smartphone is only expected to be available in China upon launch.
