For a long time, the most rugged external hard
drives were made by Lacie. The brand’s orange, rubbery devices were considered
just about the best there were. Now, legacy hard drive brand SanDisk is gunning
for that spot with their SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD.
Built to travel with you anywhere, this external
hard drive features a shock-resistant core, a water and dust resistant IP55
rating, and a loop for attaching to a bag. Want to keep your data a bit more
secure? The hard drive can just as easily fit in your pocket. But more than
just being tough, the external hard drive can transfer data at speeds of up to
550MB, and store either 250, 500 GB, or 1 TB worth of files and images. Not bad
for a pocket-sized external hard drive.
