Marc Jacobs has launched their first Wear OS
smartwatch and wearable tech user will be pleased with the design. Marc Jacobs’ Riley Touchscreen features a
traditional round case and dial with a 1.19-inch AMOLED display. On the side of
the case is a button (in place of a crown) which can be used to control the
watch if you would rather avoid the touch display.
The device features the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear
2100, although the RAM and internal memory are undisclosed. This smartwatch has
a 24 hour battery life and can be charged wirelessly. As with other
smartwatches, you can keep track of calls, texts and other notifications as
well as access Google Assistant.
You can choose from three variants, an all-black
watch, a gold watch with a white strap, and a rose gold watch with a grey
strap. The straps are all silicone, not as attractive as a fabric strap or a
faux leather strap would have been but perhaps more suited to the younger
customers that the brand is wooing with these products.
You can buy the Riley smartwatches from Marc Jacobs
for US$ 295 from next month.
