French audio brand Aëdle might have been in the
business for less than a decade but their range of high-end headphones have
been critically acclaimed for both design and audio quality. The company that
describes itself as the makers of ‘travel instruments’ has finally added a
wireless headphone to its product range.
The new Aëdle VK-X wireless noise
cancelling headphones build upon the company’s brilliant VK-1; however; the
French audio company is a US$ 50 made-to-order customization option on its latest
offering. It will offer the buyers to choose between several warm lambskin
leathers sourced from the south of France and cool aluminum options.
In terms of technical specs, the headphones feature
Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, 24-bit DSP/DAC high-resolution audio, AptX and LDAC
compatibility, USB-C charging, and active noise canceling technology.
Aëdle
plans to launch the VK-X wireless headphone in November this year, but the
company has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo for those looking to
get their hands on it early. Those who pre-order on the crowdfunding platform
will also get a massive discount of close to fifty percent. Only a limited
quantity of 1000 units are up for grabs, available on first come, first serve
basis, with a starting price of US$ 325. The headphones will eventually retail for US$ 650.
