The Lenovo A5 features a 5.45-inch HD+ 2.5D curved
glass display, which has a screen resolution of 1440 × 720 pixels and is
clubbed with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek
MT6739 64-bit chipset with PowerVR Rogue GE8100 GPU powers the smartphone.
It packs 3GB of RAM and two options in terms of
internal storage — 16GB and 32GB. Further, the phone’s storage capacity can be
expanded up to 256GB through a microSD card. On the software front, the device
is running Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box with the company’s
own custom interface ZUI 3.9 on top.
On the imaging front, the Lenovo A5 boasts a
13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, and an 8-megapixel
front-facing snapper with f/2.2 aperture. The phone also features a fingerprint
sensor on the back panel as well as comes with support for Facial Recognition
feature.
Connectivity options on the device include Dual-SIM,
4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. The device is backed by a
4000mAh battery. It measures 158.3 × 76.7 × 8.5mm and weighs 176 grams.
In China, the Lenovo A5 is priced at 599 Yuan, which
roughly converts to US$ 94 and will be available in three color options — Black,
Gold, and Rose Gold. For now, there is no information regarding the launch of
the smartphone in any other market.
