Elephone is trying to reach smartphone manufacturers
that are on a higher level in all sectors and it’s doing a pretty good job.
Their latest U Series flagship duo is a really competitive one and recently,
Ulefone celebrated the opening of their own factory. Besides the smartphone
market, they are competing in other fields too. The wearables market is of
great interest to the company that has already released 5 sports smartbands and
now another one is coming. It is the Elephone Band W7.
Not much information is available at the moment,
just the photo above that lists some key features. The live heart rate
monitoring and messaging notifications are a standard for every similar device
right now as well as the music playback control. What’s interesting, is the
“Live GPS tracking” that is listed. We don’t know if there will be a dedicated
GPS chip or not but if there is, it will be a real killer feature for this
market segment. Most -if not all- smartbands lack real GPS support and use the
GPS system of the smartphone.
There is no word on when it will be released and at
what price but we expect to find out soon since the “coming very soon” tag
should mean there will be an announcement from day to day. For more information
on Elephone, visit their official website.
