This morning, the Xiaomi Iron Ring Headphone 2 was
released with an RMB 99 (US$ 16) price tag and it will be officially launched on
June 1. As of now, Xiaomi has produced a total of three ring-shaped iron
headphones, namely, Iron Ring Headphones (99 Yuan – US$ 16), Iron Ring Earphone
Pro (149 Yuan – US$ 24), and Iron Ring Earphone 2 (99 Yuan – US$ 16).
In terms of design, the Xiaomi Iron Ring Headphone 2
follows the metal sound pattern of the Xiaomi iron headphones lineup but it
adds a high-polishing process in the finishing. It comes with a smooth metal
texture and an L- shaped plug to reduce wire bending. It uses a graphene
composite diaphragm with light weight and high sound speed combined with a soft
PET layer to restore a more realistic and penetrating sound quality.
Its acoustic structure still uses the dynamic
sounder + dual sound unit to provide a smooth sound quality, as well as a high,
medium and low-frequency balance. There are two types of materials on the wire:
the main line uses a braided wire that is resistant to pulling and twisting,
and the tail line that is close to the wire uses a highly elastic skin-friendly
TPE wire. Al these design makes this product user-friendly.
