To combat Xiaomi and Honor, OPPO is set to launch
its own e-commerce sub-brand in Amazon India on May 15, the Realme. Realme
phones will be the more affordable devices manufactured by OPPO. It will be
"made for and in India" and will be priced around US$ 150 to US$ 300.
They also plan to have access to over 500 OPPO
service centers across india with guaranteed 90 percent of repair cases within
an hour. The new brand is geared towards the diverse need of young and online
consumers according to Madhav Seth, the Chief Executive Officer of Realme
India.
The company's first product will be the Realme 1. Based
on its rendered image, it'll have the OPPO F7 Diamond Black back cover design.
We suspect that it'll have powerful specs and A.I. capable selfie cameras.
Unfortunately, we don't have any word yet regarding
its offical specs and actual price. We are also not sure if it'll reach other
parts of the world as well.
