Cherry Mobile, the top smartphone brand in the
Philippines, is set to launch a trio of sub US$ 100 devices in May. It include
the P3 Lite, P3, and the P3 Plus.
All of them has a glossy acrylic glass-like finish,
Cherry Mobile's TrueView 18:9 displays, fingerprint scanners, and the Android
Oreo (Go edition) OS. In case you missed it, the Android Oreo (Go edition) OS
is designed to work on lesser hardware, limited network, and smaller data
plans.
First is the Flare P3 Lite, it has a 5-inch 18:9
screen, 1.3GHz MT6580 quad-core chip, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM expandable to 64GB via
microSD card, 2,000mAh battery, 8MP main camera, 5MP selfie camera, and dual
SIM slots.
Next is the regular Flare P3, it has a bigger
5.5-inch 18:9 screen, 1.3GHz MT6580 quad-core chip, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM expandable
to 64GB via microSD card, 2,400mAh battery, 13MP BSI main camera, and 5MP
selfie camera, USB OTG, and dual SIM slots.
The top-of-the-line P-series smartphone of Cherry
Mobile is the Flare P3 Plus. It has the large 6-inch HD+ 18:9 screen, 1.3GHz
MT6580 quad-core chip, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM expandable to 64GB via microSD card,
3,000mAh battery, 13MP BSI main camera, and 5MP selfie camera, USB OTG, and
dual SIM slots.
According to Cherry Mobile, all three new P-series
phones will be available late this May 2018.
