The Alfawise T1 as a new quad core Intel Gemini Lake
mini PC joins systems already unveiled by Intel, Shuttle, MSI, and Gigabyte and
is now available to preorder price to US$ 220 or £ 160 from the likes of Gearbest
and other online retailers. The mini PC is equipped with an 6W Intel Celeron
N4100 quad-core Gemini Lake processor supported by 4GB of RAM and fitted with
64GB of eMMC storage, together with support for an M.2 2242 SSD and/or a 2.5
inch hard drive or solid state disk.
The specifications for the new mini PC reveal that
Alfawise have included a Celeron N4100 chip with 4MB of L2 cache and supports
burst speeds up to 2.4 GHz, compared with 2MB and 2.2 GHz for the older Celeron
N3450 Apollo Lake chip.
The Alfawise T1 mini PC measures just 6.3 x 5.3 x
1.3 inches in size and features include 4 x USB 3.0 ports, 1 x USB Type-C port,
1 x Gigabit Ethernet jack, 1 x HDMI and VGA port. Together with a handy microSD
card reader and the obligatory headset jack.
