Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play

Most companies are done with their H1 2018 announcements, but Motorola is still holding back with the Moto G6 series. Those should be coming shortly though as a massive leak just came showing us what two of the phones will look like and revealing most of their specs and even prices.

Moto G6 Play will be the most affordable device in the series with 5.7” display and HD+ resolution, confirming that Motorola will also move to tall screens. The chipset is rumored to be Snapdragon 430 with an octa-core CPU and up to 1.4 GHz clock speed.

The circular camera module on the back houses only one sensor that is said to be 13 MP with Rapid Focus technology. The battery should have 4,000 mAh capacity, while OS is most likely to be Android Oreo.

Moto G6 will be the same in size - 5.7” display and a tall HD+ resolution. Unlike the G6 Play, its chipset is going to be the more capable and power-efficient Snapdragon 450, coupled with either 3 GB RAM or 4 GB RAM. The different variants will have different storage options too - 32 GB or 64 GB.

The regular Moto G6 will have two snappers on the back - the primary one being 12 MP and the secondary one coming with a 5 MP sensor. Selfies will be taken at 16 MP. Sadly, the battery capacity is capped at 3,000 mAh.

Both devices will have fingerprint scanners below the screen and not on the side like the rumored Moto Z3 Play from yesterday. The Moto G6 Play will be available for around INR 13,000 or US$ 199, while the dual-camera Moto G6 will cost INR 16,000 which translates to US$ 249.
