Sky has announced that its Now TV is launching a new
budget streaming device, the NOW TV Smart Stick. The device is one of the
cheapest streaming sticks available in the UK as it will retail for just £ 14.99
when it goes on sale next month.
Sky will be offering the NOW TV Smart Stick for
£ 19.99 bundled with a two month Now TV Entertainment Pass, you will also be
able to buy it with a on moth Cinema Pass for £ 19.99 and a one month Sky Sports
Pass for £ 29.99.
Commenting on the announcements, Gidon Katz,
Managing Director, NOW TV, said: “If you’re looking for a flexible way to
stream great TV, contract free, our plug-and-play NOW TV Smart Stick is the
cheapest in the UK. Just add one of our content passes to stream premium live
sports, binge over 300 Box Sets, watch a new movie premiere every day, or keep
the family entertained with thousands of kids episodes.”
Sky has revealed that the NOW TV Smart Stick is
powered by ROKU and it will also give access to a range of other streaming
services. These include BBC iPlayer, All 4, ITV Hub and more. The device will
also allow you to download up to 50 apps, these include popular ones like
YoUTube, Vebo and Sky Store.
The device launches next month and
prices start at £ 14.99.
