Samsung might be in the making of a new entry-level
smartphone – the Galaxy J4 (2018). This is the conclusion we arrived at after
learning that a phone with the model name Samsung SM-J400F appeared in the
Geekbench benchmark database.
The
not-yet-announced model runs Android 8.0 and has a quad-core 1,4 GHz processor
on the inside, probably the Exynos 7570 that was present in the Galaxy J3
(2017) as well, alongside 2 GB of RAM. The alleged device has a Geekbench score
of 623 for single-core and 1815 for multi-core, placing it in the lower end of
the CPU power rankings. That being said, we should also keep in mind the
results in Geekbench could be inaccurate.
The Samsung Galaxy J series of smartphones is known
for being more affordable, which explains the low specs that the Galaxy J4
could have. We can expect the Galaxy J4 to stand out with its Samsung
Experience software and low price tag.
